About
Dr Manjula Nair is an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS), Heriot-Watt University, Dubai Campus, since September 2018.
She teaches Chemical Reactivity, Industrial Chemical Processes, Thermodynamics, Introduction to Process Engineering and Bioprocessing courses for UG students.

Academic Leadership and Affiliations:
Dr Manjula Nair is the Year coordinator for Stages 1 &2 of the Chemical Engineering program. She is a member of the International Desalination Association and serves as an honorary member of the research wing at Banasthali University. She is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK.

Research
Manjula’s research interests are in the area of water desalination and water remediation. She has published research papers on detection and removal of heavy metal ions from water, textile effluent treatment and environmental impact of desalination.
She has reviewed papers for reputed journals like Elsevier, Deswater and for the Water Resource and Environment Conferences.
