The university was today, Wednesday 24 June, ranked in an impressive 47th place in the Golden Age Rankings - up from last year's 49th placing.

This year’s Golden Age table – so named to reflect what THE describes as the Golden Age in global higher education, characterised by rapid university expansion and increasing investment in research – features 308 universities, 159 of which are in Asia.

Professor Richard A. Williams, University Principal and Vice-Chancellor, said: “This latest ranking underlines our reputation as one of the world's leading universities and stands as testament to all the hard work that has contributed to this recognition.

It reinforces the recognition already received through being named as the world’s 301st best university in the latest edition of the world’s leading university ranking and the UK’s top thirty highest-ranked universities in the 2021 Complete University Guide, announced earlier this month.

“We are immensely proud of our international standing and remain committed to offering our students opportunities to study at our campuses in Scotland, Dubai and Malaysia.”
