Student life at Heriot-Watt

Heriot-Watt University has always been a popular study destination for students from Greece. We normally have around 100 Greek students studying with us, the majority of whom are working towards a Master's degree.

Undergraduate entry requirements

We accept the Apolytirion of Lykeio from Greek students with the following grades for entry to Year 1:

  • Accounting: 17.5, Accelerated degrees 18.5 including one of Accountancy / Business / Economics / Maths at 18.5
  • Business Management: 17.5, Accelerated degrees 18.5 including one of Accountancy / Business / Economics / Maths at 18.5
  • Economics: 17.5, Accelerated degrees 18.5 including one of Accountancy / Business / Economics / Maths at 18.5
  • Finance: 17.5, Accelerated degrees 18.5 including one of Accountancy / Business / Economics / Maths at 18.5
  • Languages and Intercultural Studies: 17.5 including 18 in the language to be studied where A-level B / Higher A language is specified
  • Psychology: 17.5

Postgraduate entry requirements

For most of our Masters level programmes we require a good first degree, in most cases the equivalent to an Upper Second Class Honours degree from a recognised university, in a relevant subject area.

English language requirements

If you do not meet our English language requirements, you can apply to one of our academic English programmes, which are specifically designed to prepare you with the language and study skills needed for academic study.

Tuition fees

Tuition fees are listed alongside each programme in the online prospectuses.

Visa and immigration information

As an EEA national, there is no requirement for you to obtain a visa to come to the UK. There is the option to apply for a registration certificate to prove your right to live in the UK; however, it is not essential for you to obtain this. Further information can be found on the UKVI website.
