23. Gardener’s Cottage
In the 19th century, the Head Gardener was an important person, responsible for the food production and ornamental gardens. For an estate of this size there would have been more than 50 gardeners. The Gardeners Cottage and its small garden are at the heart of the estate. The Cottage, its boundary wall and very fine metal railings are listed structures. This is now the focus of music on campus.
