11.Larix decidua
The European larch is a deciduous conifer native to Europe. It can grow to 55 metres (180 feet) tall. This one is approximately 24 metres (75-80 feet) high. Reports of 350 years old have been recorded. It is very cold tolerant and can survive temperatures down to –50 °C. It is thought to have been introduced and cultivated in Great Britain since 1629. The timber is used in yacht building and fencing. It is also a popular Bonsai tree.
