Profile
What are your motivations for applying for the role?
I am applying for this role because I want to give back to the Heriot-Watt community that has been a cornerstone in my journey. Over the past years, I’ve built my career in the energy and digital solutions sector, working across MENA and APAC, and I’ve seen the power of strong networks and shared knowledge. My motivation is to help create that same sense of connection and opportunity for fellow alumni. I believe the Watt Club can be more than a network, it can be a driver of real value, whether through career support, mentorship, or collaboration. This role is an opportunity for me to contribute, connect, and make sure our alumni community continues to thrive globally.
What skills and experience would you bring to the role?
I bring over a decade of international experience, leading teams and building partnerships across different cultures and industries. As Sales Director at VOOVIO, I’ve been driving digital transformation projects for some of the biggest names in energy. Alongside this, I’ve started my own company, NexEra Group, which has given me an entrepreneurial perspective on growth, adaptability, and innovation. My strength lies in connecting people, spotting opportunities, and turning ideas into action. I am comfortable engaging with senior leaders as well as mentoring young professionals, and I enjoy creating environments where both can learn from each other. With a global outlook, strong communication skills, and the discipline I also bring from my triathlon journey, I can bring energy, focus, and resilience to the role.
What would be your top three priorities during your term as President?
- Building stronger connections: Create more opportunities for alumni to meet, share experiences, and support each other through events and digital platforms.
- Supporting career growth: Strengthen links between alumni, students, and industry, opening doors for internships, mentoring, and career opportunities.
- Showcasing our global community: Highlight alumni achievements worldwide and expand the Watt Club’s presence so members feel connected no matter where they are.
My vision is simple: make the Watt Club more engaging, more relevant, and more supportive for every graduate. It’s about building pride in who we are and making sure that being a Heriot-Watt graduate continues to open doors long after we leave campus.
