Profile
What are your motivations for applying for the role?
Attending Heriot-Watt’s MBA programme changed my life. It gave me the confidence, strategic thinking, and leadership tools to step into global roles and I’m passionate about promoting the accessibility and life-changing potential of a Heriot-Watt education.
From serving on the board of the International Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and driving its growth across the Americas, to relocating and working directly for the Award itself, I’ve consistently embraced opportunities to lead and serve. As an Account Lead at IQVIA, I manage a global team delivering high-quality medical copy review services for top pharmaceutical clients, a work that demands precision, collaboration, and strategic oversight.
I also proudly contributed to the 2023 Watt Magazine, sharing my journey as an engaged alumna. Now, I’m ready to give back further. As President of the Watt Club Council, I want to strengthen alumni connections, promote diversity and inclusion, and help others realise the power of a Heriot-Watt education.
What skills and experience would you bring to the role?
I bring a powerful mix of strategic leadership, international experience, and above all, a genuine passion for the Heriot-Watt community. As an Account Lead at IQVIA, I lead a global team in the fast-paced world of medical copy review for top pharmaceutical clients. It’s work that demands precision, empathy, and the ability to bring people together across cultures and skills I believe are essential for leading the Watt Club Council.
My earlier role on the board of the International Duke of Edinburgh’s Award shaped my understanding of governance, advocacy, and service-led leadership. Earning my MBA at Heriot-Watt didn’t just elevate my career, it transformed how I saw myself as a leader and ignited a lifelong desire to give back. That’s why I contributed to the 2023 Watt Magazine, and why I now want to do more. I care deeply about making every alum feel seen, connected, and proud. As President, I’ll lead with energy, heart, and purpose.
What would be your top three priorities during your term as President?
- Engage: My top priority will be to actively connect with alumni worldwide, ensuring every graduate feels valued and involved. I will strengthen regional chapters and foster cross-border collaboration to amplify diverse voices within the Watt Club community, making sure all alumni have meaningful opportunities to contribute and stay connected.
- Mobilise: I will focus on driving fundraising efforts by inspiring alumni generosity and philanthropic support. Working closely with the University’s Development and Alumni Relations teams, I aim to secure vital resources that empower future students and advance key University initiatives, strengthening our shared legacy.
- Unite: Building a strong, proud, and connected alumni community will be central to my leadership. Through compelling storytelling, engaging events, and active participation in major University occasions, I will nurture lasting bonds that deepen pride and elevate the Watt Club’s global influence.
