The Duffin Family Future Shapers Scholarship

Applicants will be assessed based on:

• Strong academic performance.
• A compelling personal statement outlining their future career aspirations and how the scholarship will support them in achieving their goals.

Terms & Conditions

• The scholarship is available to new applicants applying to eligible Postgraduate Taught (PGT) programmes at Heriot-Watt University Dubai for the September 2026 intake.
• The scholarship has a value of AED 15,000 (Inclusive of VAT), which will be deducted from the tuition fees.
• Applications close on 10 August 2026. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
• Applicants must hold an offer of admission and meet all academic and English language entry requirements before enrolment.
• Applicants must submit the required scholarship application and personal statement by the published deadline.
• The scholarship is awarded on a competitive basis and is not guaranteed to all eligible applicants.
• The scholarship is applicable to tuition fees only and has no cash value.
• The scholarship cannot be transferred to another intake, programme or individual.
• The PGT Merit Scholarship will continue to apply for eligible students in accordance with the University's published merit scholarship criteria.
• This award cannot be combined with the Future Made for Success Scholarship or any other award, or tuition fee discount.
• Students must enroll in the September 2026 intake. Deferral of the scholarship is not permitted.
• The scholarship will be withdrawn if the recipient fails to meet the conditions of their offer, withdraws their application, or does not complete enrolment within the specified enrolment period.
• Heriot-Watt University Dubai reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw the scholarship and its terms and conditions at any time.
• The decision of the Scholarship Selection Committee is final, and no correspondence regarding the outcome of applications will be entertained.
