Jürgen has been working at Heriot-Watt since 2003 and his current role is managing the Research, Impact and Knowledge Exchange Office in the School of Business, Design and Social Sciences at the Edinburgh Campus
Biography
He joined the University Court in 2020 and has since served on various sub-committees of Court: Governance and Nominations Committee (2020-2021), Finance Committee (since 2021) the Chair of Court Selection Committee (2022) and the Joint Committee for the Appointment of the Principal and Vice-Chancellor (2025-2026).
His career has focused on the financial services and higher education sectors, mainly in professional specialist and team manager roles. He has experience and qualifications in Lean Six Sigma Training Yellow Belt, Organisational Behaviour and a Diploma in Catechetics.
Jurgen's wider interests include Scottish culture and classical music.
