Dr Ruaraidh D. McIntosh

Biography

Hi, I’m Dr Ruaraidh McIntosh and I’m the program director for MChem Chemistry with Placement. As part of the undergraduate chemistry programs, I teach core inorganic chemistry to years one and three as well as more advanced topics such as sustainable chemistry in the fourth year. Final year MChem students join a research lab for the whole year and if you join my group, you’ll have to opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects all of which have a foundation in sustainability. These include applied fields such as the oil and gas sector and Scotch Whisky production as well as more fundamental studies on organometallic catalysis and supramolecular chemistry.
