Overall quality of research is assessed by the Research Excellence Framework (REF). REF21, valid until the next REF in 2029, assessed 86.8% of our research as world-class and internationally excellent, based on 35 impact case studies submitted.
Since the last REF, our research community has grown by 13.5%. Our success in winning major funding awards, in fierce competition, evidences our upward trajectory and underlines our industry focus.
