Heriot-Watt is a research-intensive university known for pioneering and applied research which, together with our long-standing links to business and industry, results in wide-reaching impact. We have a vibrant research and enterprise community, which has grown by 13.5% since the last Research Excellence Framework (REF21) with around 250 postdoctoral researchers and over 1000 postgraduate research students.

Our goal is to provide a supportive global community for Early Career Researchers - whether postgraduate or postdoctoral - across all our campuses worldwide. Their individual locations combine a unique experience with access to cutting-edge research facilities, training and outreach, across the university.
