3. Canvas

Canvas is Heriot-Watt University's online learning environment where you can access your course materials, submit assignments, take quizzes and communicate with lecturers. It's designed to support your studies with easy access to resources, announcements and your feedback - all in one place. It can be accessed wherever you are, via browser by going to https://canvas.hw.ac.uk.

We recommend downloading the Canvas mobile app to your phone or tablet from the App Store or Google Play.

Log into Canvas with your HWU username and password. Once you are logged in, you will see your dashboard and the courses you are enrolled in. The first time you login to Canvas via a browser, you will be presented with a short walkthrough to complete.

Welcome and induction information for your subject will be in Canvas so be sure to log in and find out what is on and where.
