2026/27 Key Information

2026/27 Key Priorities and Messages to Teaching Teams

Several regulations and policies have been modified for 2026/27 (the full list and details of changes can be found in the 2026/27 Regulations and Policies Summary), including:

  • Flexible Learning Week: Week 6 has been reframed; Course Teams must provide at least one 1 hour of timetabled support; Additional co-curricular and consolidation activities can continue to be offered
  • Recorded Materials: To support student learning, core content presented in live lectures must also be provided as recorded resources
  • Assessment: Revised institutional policy and procedures on moderation; late submission period clarified as 7 calendar days; STACK approved as a platform for online assessments
  • Personal Tutoring Policy and Guidelines: Revised to require a minimum contact point of once per semester
  • Student representation: Increased training for student chairs of Student-Staff Liaison Committees
  • A new Support to Study Policy: Outlines support for students who are struggling to maintain their academic engagement or a level of conduct that is appropriate and conducive to study.
  • Minor updates: TSS policy, Credit rating of placements, Discretionary Award of Credits, Programme Titles, Student Carers.
