Course credit transfer

Visiting students can select up to a maximum of 4 courses per semester on the same campus, subject to timetabling and any pre-requisite experience.  Each course is worth approximately 3.75 US credits.

Course options are also available from across Heriot-Watt learning levels 1, 2 and 3:

• Level 1 is equivalent to a Sophomore level course.
• Level 2 is equivalent to a Junior level course.
• Level 3 is equivalent to a Senior/Graduate level course.

Remember, you will need to have all of your course choices (including alternates) approved by your home institution. You should check your home institution's credit transfer regulations before submitting your course choice form.
