The University often needs to put in place a range of temporary policies and procedures related to learning, teaching or assessment. This information is provided here on the Policy Bank and is updated annually.

2025/26 Key Information

The following policies have been modified for 2025/26 (details of changes can be found in the Get Set Information):

  • Student Engagement and Attendance Policy
  • Student Academic Misconduct Policy
  • Assessment policies relating to security of off-campus & off-line marking and to scheduling of coursework.
  • Recognition of Prior Learning: new criteria on awards.
  • Policy and procedures on Programme Titles, Courses & Learning Outcomes
  • Policy on Discretionary Award of Credits
  • Engineering Council’s Condonement and Compensation Policy have been produced.
  • Minor updates: Block Teaching, Business Approval of Programmes, English Language Requirements, Exams and Other Assessments in Different time zones.
